This role will influence the design and delivery of system automation capabilities across AT&T enterprise architects, engineers and managers across business units within the whole company. It will drive delivery of system automation enablers for key CTO and business initiatives 5G, RAN, 5G Core/NC, FN, SDN, Fiber, ROADM, Win Home. This includes driving towards a single source of truth network inventory platform enabled by leading industry CMDB platforms. This role will be integral in the Network Transformation initiatives driving new strategies, implementation of tooling and leading change.

Your Role

As the Associate Director, you will helm a dynamic team of over 20 Systems Engineers and Scrum Master professionals in Brno, Czech Republic. Your leadership will drive the development, testing, and implementation of groundbreaking software solutions.

This role encompasses:

• Strategic Leadership: Guide and expand your team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Your decisions will shape our strategic direction, tool adoption, and change management.

• Operational Excellence: Oversee the technical, financial, and project facets of the software development lifecycle, ensuring alignment with our global objectives.

• Collaborative Synergy: Work in concert with U.S. leadership and teams, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on project goals and outcomes.

• Talent Development: Attract, mentor, and retain top talent, nurturing a team capable of meeting tomorrow's challenges.

What You Bring:

• Experience: 5+ years in software engineering, with at least 3 years in leadership. Your background includes system engineering, development, and QA.

• Leadership: Proven track record in team building, mentorship, and navigating complex team dynamics.

• Agile Mastery: Proficiency in SAFe Agile and Continuous Development methodologies.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. A Master's degree in a relevant area is highly desirable.

• Language Skills: Fluency in English and Czech to cater to our diverse team and project needs.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Familiarity with telecommunications software development.

• Insight into AI technologies, including Generative AI and Machine Learning.

• Understanding of modern communication networks (5G/6G, fiber optics, IP networks).

Location : AT&T Brno, CZ. This is a hybrid-flex worker position where our preference is for you to be present with your team in the office at least 3 times per week.

Working time : EMEA hours

Compensation:

Salary starting from 120,000 CZK gross monthly.

The actual offered salary may be considerably higher based on your skills, knowledge and experience.
