Job Description

Our Graduate Engineering Training Program (GETP) is the primary path for university graduates into GE Power Conversion and will provide you with the opportunity to build skills in critical areas of the company and to apply your capabilities to projects with real impact.

During this program you will be trusted to work on important live projects, create valued work and be fully involved in our operations.

This GETP is 24 months long and has been built to:

  • Provide stimulating challenges and experiences giving you a chance to put your newly acquired skills into practice: You will go through at least 3 rotations in different areas of Engineering such as Power System, Drive and Automation/Control.

  • Provide an opportunity to learn and grow: Mentorship to pursue a professional accreditation, e-learning, virtual lectures, On-job training and specialist training are part of the program.

  • Provide an opportunity to learn overall project execution : Technical sales – Detail engineering – Factory acceptance test (including quality) – Equipment Delivery – commissioning.

  • Provide an opportunity to learn global company: Learn how to cooperate with different countries all over the world and experience different culture in the world.

We are looking for eager and hardworking individuals who meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s Degree from an accredited university in Electrical Engineering.

  • New or less than two years of work experiences.

  • A strong commitment/ownership to a career in technology and a passion for engineering in details.

  • A demonstrated strong technical aptitude towards investigating details and problem solving.

  • Unrestricted work authorisation for the Republic of Korea (no visa sponsorship for this role).

  • Technical knowledge on Industrial Power Conversion equipment like generators, switchboards, transformers, converters, motors, energy storage, cabling etc

  • Strong willing for learning and practice in real industry.

  • Good writing skill/reporting in Korean/English.

  • Knowledge on power system engineering tool such as MATLAB/Simulink or E-TAP preferred.

  • Knowledge on PLC, OPC and SCADA or HMI

  • Report and exchange project status or information with colleagues overseas by email or phone calls.

  • Learning GE expertise and skill from technical sales, detail project execution and site commissioning.

  • Learning how to cooperate with equipment maker and maintain a good relationship with customer and 3rd parities to increase customer satisfaction and sales on GE products and system.

  • Fluency spoken English and writing report/email in English.

  • Proactive cooperation on work internally and externally.
