FirstService Residential Pool Attendant in Farmingdale, New Jersey

Job Overview:Â Â

Aspart of the Pool Staff,you’llbe responsible forenforcing pool rules and ensuring the safety ofresidents/guests in the pool area.ÂÂ

Your Responsibilities:Â Â

  • Enforcing all pool rules and regulations in a polite and professional manner.Â
  • Oversee the pool areaÂÂ
  • Make safety announcementsÂ
  • Maintain an inventory of all poolside equipment toalways be in good working condition for guestsÂ
  • Ensure the safety of residents and guestsutilizingthe pool area.Â
  • Provideinformation and services to residentsÂ
  • Assistswith set up and breakdown of poolsideactivitiesas neededÂ
  • Ensure bathers are showering prior toenteringpool.Â
  • Clean up the general pool area by returning chairs and equipment back to proper locations.Â
  • Report anysafetyor maintenance concerns toManager.Â
  • Maintains bathrooms and general cleaning of facilityÂÂ
  • Checks sports equipment (ping pong, Tennis, Pickle ball and others) to make sure they arein good working order for guest useÂ
  • Inspects Gym equipment for missing or broken parts.ÂÂ
  • Reports broken sports equipment tothe managerso that replacement equipment can be ordered.ÂÂÂ
  • Beaccessible to and approachabletoresidents/guests. ·Â

  • Must be familiar with the Safety and Environmental Protection Policy and carry out the policies and proceduresappropriate forhis/her position.ÂÂ

  • Follow safety procedures andmaintaina safe work environment.Â

Skills & Qualifications:Â Â

  • Minimum of High School diploma. CPR Certification is desirable.Â
  • Experience in the hospitalityor serviceindustryÂ
  • Experience and training in customer service is highly desirable.Â
  • Experience in an aquatic setting desirable.Â
  • Basic cleaning skillsÂ
  • Work in a teamenvironmentÂ
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills, problem solving abilities, and advanced communication skills a plus.Â
  • Must present a professional image. Must be outgoing and able to work with all types of people.Â
  • Accountable for one’s own work, decisions and safety of oneself and safety of oneself and others.Â
  • Capable of working extended hours,includingevenings,weekendsandholidaysas necessary.Â
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; ·Â
  • Multiple language fluency is desirable. ·Â
  • Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skillsrequired.Â
  • Ability to lift 30 – 50lbsÂ
  • Work in an upright standing position forlong periodsof timeÂ
  • Walk and climb stairsÂ

  • Reach with hands and armsÂ

  • Communicate,receiveand exchange ideas and informationby means ofthe spoken and written wordÂ
  • Ability toquickly and easily navigate the property/buildingasrequiredto meet the job functionsÂ
