We are actively seeking a proficient Electrical Specialist to join our dynamic team steering the safe, efficient, and innovative installation of our client's Combined Cycle Power Plant.

Position Overview:

The Electrical Specialist will play a pivotal role in overseeing and ensuring the peak performance, reliability, and safety of our client's greenfield Combined Cycle Power Plants electrical systems. This position demands a blend of managing fieldwork, strategic planning, and team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of electricians, overseeing electrical-related tasks on Combined Cycle Power Plant electrical systems, including transformers, switchgear, generators, and control systems.

  • Drive troubleshooting and diagnostic efforts to identify and resolve complex electrical issues promptly, leveraging technical expertise and problem-solving skills.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and safety departments, to plan and execute electrical activities, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal plant performance.

  • Develop, implement, and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment, prioritizing employee well-being and compliance with industry regulations.

  • Monitor equipment performance and efficiency, recommending and overseeing the implementation and operational reliability and efficiency.

  • Maintain comprehensive records of electrical installation activities, inspections, and equipment performance metrics for compliance, reporting, and continuous improvement purposes.

  • Provide technical leadership, support, and guidance to plant operators, maintenance teams, and other stakeholders, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

The following skills, experience, and qualifications are required:

  • Electrical Construction-Related Discipline.

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in electrical installations, and operations, within the power generation industry, with a proven track record of leadership and management.

  • Comprehensive technical knowledge and expertise in Combined Cycle Power Plant electrical systems and equipment, including transformers, switchgear, generators, and control systems.

  • Proficiency in advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques for electrical systems, coupled with a strategic mindset and analytical capabilities.

  • Familiarity with industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to power plant electrical installation, operations, and safety.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, inspire, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Willingness to travel and work in Brazil for extended periods.

  • Availability and flexibility to travel and undertake assignments across various locations in the United States and Internationally as required. A valid U.S. passport and a Brazilian working Visa (assistance will be provided) will be required for the travel in this position.
