Heavy Equipment Operators/Apprentices

Nez Perce County Road Dept is actively recruiting Heavy Equipment Operators and/or Heavy Equipment Operator Apprentices. Heavy Equipment Operators starting hourly pay is \$21.62 -\$22.89. Heavy Equipment Operator Apprentice starting hourly pay is \$20.59. Heavy Equipment Operators operate heavy equipment during construction, maintenance and repair activities on County roads and structures. Min. Qualifications: High school graduate/equivalent and at least two years verifiable work experience operating heavy construction and maintenance equipment. Heavy Equipment Operator position requires a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement. Nez Perce County will assist new Heavy Equipment Operator Apprentice hires in obtaining Class A CDL certification. It is preferable successful hires reside within 30 minutes of the appropriate Road and Bridge Department headquarters site. Drug testing upon hire and random testing while employed.
