Job Description: Successful candidate will be responsible for the overall operation of the drill rig and crew. Supervise drilling assistants, identify necessary vehicle maintenance, and provide routine maintenance and cleaning. Perform and oversee drilling activities to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality. This role will require some out of town travel.

Essential Duties and Functions: FIELD WORK: -Set up equipment and operate the drill rig safely to obtain soil and rock samples. -Coordinate with underground utilities/improvements identification. -Identify and comply with utility marking at boring locations. -Team with the drill assistant in surveying test boring locations and elevations -Make judgments of appropriate drilling procedures to allow obtaining high quality samples based on soil, rock, and or ground water conditions present. -Evaluate encountered soil/groundwater conditions and decide whether office contact (Drilling Supervisor or Project Engineer) is needed to satisfy project quality and or budget requirements

EQUIMENT MAINTENANCE: -Perform routine maintenance and cleaning as needed -Use and maintain company equipment

Qualifications: -Mechanical ability -Valid Drivers License -Clean Driving Record -One year drilling experience preferred -Willing to work overtime and travel as needed to complete contracted jobs

ABILITY TO: -Frequently Lift 30-60 lbs. -Occasionally lift 60-100 lbs. from the floor
