Google Senior Social Strategy and Innovation Manager, Brand Studio in Portland, Oregon

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 9 years of experience in social and influencer publishing and activation across organic, earned, paid media, and community management with cross-functional teams.

  • 4 years of experience in team management during marketing transformation.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with a wide array of talent – music houses, celebrities, athletes, social influencers, etc.

  • Experience in social marketing, especially with regard to both community as well as product inclusivity/equity.

  • Experience working with product teams, data scientists, and cross-functional marketers.

  • Practical understanding of AI’s current and future role in marketing and in society.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a high number of stakeholders, including international teams as well as finance, agency relations, and legal teams.

  • Ability to produce executive-friendly and public-facing mass communication.

As the Senior Social Strategy and Innovation Manager, you are a social marketing expert who will lead our efforts in social-first execution, innovation, and activation at every layer. In this role, you will use your expertise and understanding of the ever-evolving landscapes across social platforms, technologies (including AI) and trusted social-agency network to craft modern, social-first marketing for Google social channels. You will form unbreakable relationships and communities with customers to support execution on a global scale that considers the needs of various product areas, regions, and locals. You'll connect and authentically integrate Google in an always on cultural narrative.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $165,000-$248,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Lead team of social content strategists to support Always On activation of Google social channels across paid, organic, and earned. Lend team and expertise to most significant, brand defining moments.

  • Partner cross-functionally with product areas to advise and enable social creative excellence by objective for Google channels.

  • Optimize our processes at a global level to support and enable scaled social marketing, evolve the culture of testing, and measurement.

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest marketing trends and technologies, including new social platforms, trends, and integration of AI.
