Position Summary

This position is located in Akron, OH and full relocation assistance is being offered. It is NOT a remote position! This person must live within a commutable distance to Akron, OH.

The Project Engineer is a business facing technical role that is responsible for managing engineering projects and tasks across different business units. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve process issues to maximize the benefit of product life cycle. (PLM).

This Project Engineer must live within a 1 hour drive or so from our facility in Akron, OH in order to enjoy working in a hybrid work environment where they are expected to work approximately 20 hours per week in the office in Akron, OH (Tuesday - Thursday) and approximately 20 hours per week from home, if desired.

Responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or computer sciences, MIS, or related business discipline(s) with 3+ years of relevant experience working as a Project Engineer or Product Owner with engineering teams.

  • Product Development/Manufacturing environment coordinating, planning, and managing PI initiatives for a PLM/PDM software solution.

  • Knowledge with MS office products, Azure DevOps, or Jira

  • Ability to provide strategic PLM leadership and lead by influencing the creation of long-term strategic roadmaps in a virtual environment.

  • Excellent communication skills, develop clear, concise, and logically written business communications, deliver recommendations.

  • Self-starter with self-confidence, enthusiasm, and strong customer service orientation.

  • Willing to learn new technologies & take on new projects to grow experience.

  • Strong analytical skills, demonstrated organizational and leadership skills, examples of effective teamwork, and a track record of consistently meeting deadlines and due dates.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a Product Development/Manufacturing environment know how.

Previous background as an engineer (mechanical, automotive, software, industrial, etc.).
