Copeland Product Manager- Power Electronics in Sidney, Ohio

We are looking for a highly motivated Product Manager to join Copeland Global Power Electronics team. Reporting to the Vice President Global Power Electronics, the Product Manager will be responsible for the growth, profitability and commercialization of product initiatives in our Drives/Power Electronics Platforms.

As a Product Manager – Power Electronics, you will:

  • Own the sales and profitability for power electronics platforms through their lifecycle, and ensure targets are met. Participate in and lead executive-level sales, profit and demand planning reviews, resolve operational challenges related to ongoing initiatives

  • Drive platform vision and execution. Develop long term platform growth strategies, roadmaps and design requirements. Ensure synergies and leverage of global investments, programs and resources

  • Prioritize new product development programs and product lifecycle management initiatives, based on business opportunities or threats, in collaboration with internal functions

  • Build the product value proposition, positioning and pricing strategy for platform solutions. Drive the commercialization plan, including go-to-market strategy, customer bulletins, and marketing collateral.

  • Understand industry trends, market dynamics, and competition across different commercial segments. Serve as the platform expert for sales and customers

  • Understand customer issues and help resolve them. Maintain and strengthen customer relationships. Support customer engagements for the various platform applications. Gather customer feedback and requirements for new products

  • Use market and product knowledge to train multiple groups to drive sales growth

  • Lead cross-functional teams consisting of Program Management, Marketing, Engineering, Sales, others for critical commercial programs

  • Collaborate with other Emerson world areas and business groups on the growth, profitability, resource utilization, and general planning of platform

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Five (5) years experience in product management, marketing, sales, or similar multi-functional leadership role

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business, or similar Technical field or an MBA with equivalent experience

  • Proven track record in leading and operating with an entrepreneurial and holistic mindset, with accountability and autonomy

  • Strong analytical abilities to use data to develop strategies and make decisions in a time sensitive manner

  • Competencies to quickly turn ideas or strategy into action, operate in a customer-centric way, take calculated risks, and drive results through others

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and effectively communicate and present information to customers, stakeholders, and executive management

  • Strong communication skills, both written and presentation

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to enable interaction with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and customers

  • Strong work ethic and ability to work both with teams and independently.

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

  • Legal work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Seven (7) plus years of relevant experience

  • MBA preferred

  • Knowledge of power electronics/drives and refrigeration systems and components

  • HVAC Industry Experience

Flexible Work Schedule – Remote Work Option and Core Hours

This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers.

Our newly renovated Sidney campus has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor with an additional 120k square feet of leading-edge lab facilities. This location is the headquarters for our HVACR Americas business unit. Through our many years of compressor expertise, our products help bring comfort and convenience to refrigeration, commercial, industrial, and residential spaces.
