Description

Amazon is looking to hire an experienced, innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed Project Engineer that can drive expansion in our last mile delivery network. As a member of the Japan Amazon Logistics Engineering Team you will be responsible for supporting the design, optimization and maintenance of building infrastructure, material handling equipment and processes of our existing and future logistics network.

Responsibilities:

• Create specifications and technical detail for material handling equipment to be used in Amazon Delivery Stations

• Perform site acceptance tests and factory acceptance test for equipment assembled by the Amazon supply chain

• Support detailed assessments of the performance of the material handling equipment currently being used in existing Amazon Delivery Stations

• Active involvement in cross functional infrastructure projects, provide technical input and conduct value engineering/ value analysis

• Ensures projects are executed in adherence to all Environment, Health & Safety policy and procedures. Be proactive in the raising of potential EH&S issues and the development of personal safety awareness

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience

• Bachelor's degree

• Fluent or advanced level of Japanese and reading and writing ability of English

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level

• Experience working with and managing third party vendors

• Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing
